Always You (Adair Family #3) by Samantha Young

It’s interesting to get a book about Mac and Arro because we had had glimpses of them in the first two installments and I really liked their story and wondered how is it progressing. But getting what you want is not always the best thing.

I had a hard time resonating with these characters, being in their heads made me want them to be a couple less. The significant about of time spent comparing Arro to Robyn gave me really uncomfortable vibes, which I never before felt from this couple or any of the couples in this series regardless of the age gaps between the men and women.

The suspense aspect of the first and second books was also weaker. There were several scary things that happened, but overall the buildup to the critical events was not as well crafted as it has been in the previous books.

If there are more books in this series, would I come back? Maybe. This installment did not land for me, but I would try again. -Sky
