Barbarian Mine (Ice Planet Barbarians #4) by Ruby Dixon

So this was the first book of this series I totally checked out of at the dramatic climax (which is, obviously, very different from the sexual climax). I found myself caring less the moment the baby was born. I don’t know if I just don’t like baby plotlines or if the HEA was so terribly obvious. Perhaps, it’s because I felt like the connection between Harlowe and Rouk (did I spell that right? I listened to an audio book…) was more interesting when there wasn’t a baby between them. Look, I get it. Rouk needs a family, it had to be done…I was just meh about it. This one might cause me to take a break from the series. Just come up for air and read something else. -Ford
