Barbarian’s Touch by Ruby Dixon (Ice Planet Barbarians #8)

Deaf MC? HELL YES!!!

This book kicks off the second round of new human women to land on Not-Hoth. Lila and her sister, Maddie, are released from their stasis pods in the crashed alien ship. Lila immediately learns that the asshole aliens removed her cochlear implant and she is without her hearing again. She depends on Maddie to translate for her. After they receive their khui so they can survive on this planet, Lila is stolen away by Hasan, a male who is hoping to force resonance from her. The tribe sends hunters out to find her and Rokan knows, he’s got a sixth sense, that he will find her. He just didn’t expect that it was because she was his resonance mate. They have to figure out how to navigate communication and Lila has to learn how to live on this planet.

Heads up Blue Alien Lovers, this book is a third longer than the other books!

I really REALLY loved this one. I love deaf representation and I thought that Ruby Dixon did a great job with the un-obvious deaf rules of communication. I didn’t feel like the book was too long or short. There was a lot going on! I did feel like there was not enough smut. This one is a bit of a slow burn, so be aware.

Still one of my favorites of this series for the plot, alone. -Ford
