The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling

Get in the mood for the season with this cute Halloween-themed rom-com. This is light and fluffy, with some smutty moments. The story is not too scary and the resolution is literally dancing in a witchy circle.

Cute is absolutely how I would describe this story. It requires very little emotional labor from the reader, while allowing you to escape into a fall wonderland. If pumpkin-spiced latte were a book, this would be it.

There are some things that I wish were clearer, there is classism and sexism and a lack of diversity in this town that isn’t addressed, but there is also a definite set up for several more stories, so there are opportunities there.

I would recommend this book for Reece’s side-comments. He is the one I chuckled at the most. -Sky
