Barbarian’s Beloved by Ruby Dixon (Ice Planet Barbarians #17)

This is a flashback book to one of Not-Hoth’s OG human females: Ariana and the story of her arrival, why she cried so much (it was the clinical anxiety), and her resonance with Zolaya. Since this is the 17th book in the series we get to see Ariana in the present, with her kid and one on the way, too.

This book is maybe the softest in the series. Ariana’s mental and emotional journey is enough plot for this book.

Don’t come to this one to see Michael Bay explosions (is that ever anyone’s expectations of this series?). Come for the heart and the flashback to all our favorite girls. -Ford
