Ice Planet Holiday by Ruby Dixon (Ice Planet Barbarians #5)

This novella follows Georgie, the MC for book 1 of the series, and Claire, a new-to-readers MC, as the tribe creates and celebrates a holiday. Georgie is waiting for her baby to drop out of her and Claire uses the holiday to leave an alien she no longer has a spark with. Her now-Ex, Bek, isn’t taking no for an answer, and Ereven, another male, steps into fake-dating her until they resonate.

This was a lovely quick little story, perfect for a valentine’s day read. However, it would also suit during the winter holiday times as there are a tree, gift-giving, and aliens who don’t understand mistletoe (this is coming from a human who doesn’t understand mistletoe either).

If I had one note for this book, it’s these two things:

  1. Only one sex scene per character (very steamy, but still…not enough sexysextimes)

  2. The book ends with Claire and Ereven giving each other gifts. We know what Claire is giving him, but WE NEVER LEARN WHAT HE GAVE HER> As someone whose love language is “gifts”, I NEED TO KNOW. This is slowly killing me and may take me to an early grave.
