Once Ghosted, Twice Shy by Alyssa Cole

This was a very quick novella. (Yes, I know what novellas are.)

I picked this up out of order, without having read the other books in this series.

First and foremost, it made me want to read the other books in this world.

Secondly, it reminded me how much fun clothing can be. I obsessively love Likotski's suits and *swoon* suspenders. Literally, every time she rolled up her sleeves and leaned forward on her elbows, I was drooling, Looney Tunes style.

Thirdly, the tension between the past and the present, the connection between these two women, was so real and tangible, I could reach out and touch it.

And (I promise) lastly, I prefer sexual relationships between consenting adults to be explicit. This novella had a lot of fade-to-black, and I found myself wanting more, reading further and faster to get a glimpse inside their bedroom. (I know. RUDE! But they are so hot and hotter still together.)

Read this if you are looking for a fast-paced, steamy, WLW dance.
