There Are Trans People Here by H. Melt

Thank you to @this_is_edelweiss and @haymarketbooks for the ARC of this lovely collection of poems about joyous Trans life!

Now, I’m not well-versed (see what I did there?) in poetry. Like any teenage girl worth her salt, I dabbled in terrible and angsty poems about my unimportant life. This is one of the first books of poetry I’ve picked up in ages and it was so warm, accessible, and full of life and joy.

H. Melt brilliantly navigates Trans History with Dreams for Trans Futures. They had me wishing for Trans Day of Revenge and the moments, large and small, that matter to each and every trans person out there. -Ford
